FAQ's
Where are you based?
We are a family-owned business based in Brisbane, Australia.
Where are your products made?
Our manufacturing team, pattern makers and print designers are also based in Brisbane. Our products are made in factories in China and India.
Can I return my purchase?
Yes, within 14 days. Please see the full details of our return policy.
How long does shipping take?
We aim to have all Australian orders to you in 3-5 business days. You can see more details on our Shipping Info page.
Why do you have the 5 years of bold guarantee?
Because making quality products is REALLY important to us for 2 main reasons.
- Because nothing is worse than falling in love with a piece and then seeing it disintegrate after a few months of washing and daily woman-ing life.
- Buying and making cheap items as often as we do is killing our planet. Investing in quality pieces that last a lifetime will contribute to reducing mass production of clothing.
Why is your size range only from 10-22?
This is not a decision to exclude anyone and we aim to be inclusive in every way possible.
We are a family-owned business self self-funding a brand aimed to change the world and this is a logistics issue during our launch phase, not a choice.
We have put extreme detail into our fits, with every seam measured to the inch. Below a size 10 and above a size 22, the proportions of these fits change to avoid a poor-fitting garment.
Furthermore, our print styles are large and cannot be cut anywhere on a fabric roll, so there are changes that need to happen in how we are able to print and roll sizes to accommodate these proportion changes.
We are working through these logistical issues with urgency and hope to extend our range in our 2026 Autumn release and continue to expand from there!
What does it mean when you say a print will never come back the same?
Our pet peeve is paying great money for a unique piece, then seeing it go on sale and being sold to the masses soon after. We want to keep our designs unique, so once they are gone, we are committed to not rerunning them the same. We may take some of our favourite dress prints to pant and shirt styles or reimagine them into something else, but our designs will always be limited edition and unique so you do not run into anyone on the street wearing the same Hippo frock as you... because disaster!
How do I know your manufacturing is ethical?
This is a priority for us. We have partnered with a local team who have staff and factories overseas. They visit these factories first-hand, take video interviews and ensure all ethical and fair practices are followed. This is reviewed regularly and done in thorough detail as those contributing to the epidemics of forced work, wage theft and abuse can be sly and manipulative in hiding it, so this process goes above and beyond the surface to ensure that this does not take place in any way shape or form. Beyond that, our factories are known for going above and beyond in their generosity and positive culture of their teams, we are proud to partner with them.
What sustainable practices do you follow?
Our ziplock packaging is biodegradable, and we focus on 100% natural fibres to do our part in reducing waste and toxic production. However, it is our push to make quality pieces that last a lifetime and education on over-consumerism that we feel will make the biggest impact. If we buy less, make less, and create pieces that can be resold/donated, the world becomes healthier faster.
We endeavour to continue to reduce our waste contribution further as we grow.
